YOUNG GUNS HANDED EXTENDED STAY
Swindon Town Football Club are delighted to announce that nine members of the club's youth team have been awarded professional contracts.
After last year's successful FA Youth Cup campaign - combined with another successful run in the competition this year, The County Ground is now well and truly on the map for youth development.
Second-year scholars Jake Hyde, Sam Morris and Callum Kennedy have been awarded professional deals whilst first-year scholars Sean Morrison, Ben Joyce, Lloyd Macklin, Jack Winter, Kurt Hammonds and Mark Scott have also been given deals which will see all players remain at The County Ground until the summer of 2009.
The youth team are in action at Charlton Athletic this evening in the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup with the winners facing a home clash with Premiership Sunderland.
