KEN IS NUMBER 3,000!
After a fantastic day of sales on Thursday, which included late night opening, STFC have now sold over 3,000 Season Tickets as the Race to 6K continues.
Ken Downton was the lucky supporter to purchase the 3,000th ticket and he was sold his ticket at half the normal price - to mark the halfway stage of the Race to 6K.
Shrivenham-based Ken was delighted to be the recipient of the good news, as he told the media on Thursday lunchtime.
"It's great news. I heard on the radio on Thursday morning that there were only about 25 to go before the club reached the 3,000 mark. I was always going to go down on Thursday anyway, but I wondered whether I would be in with a chance of winning.
"The club is going in the right direction and Andrew Fitton and his Consortium have brought real business sense to the club.
"Everyone is looking forward to the new season and if Maurice Malpas can bring in the players he wants, then I am sure the team will do well."
