Centre of Success!
Swindon Town F.C. Study Centre was second in a competition to produce a digital magazine based on the club, the centre and the students who attend the study centre.
The students had only 5 after school sessions to produce iweb pages using a variety of programs on the Apple Mac computers. The judges highlighted the work produced by the students from Freshbrook Primary School in particular the short film joke about Paul Sturrock using his mobile phone while driving around the Magic Roundabout as he wanted the 3 points and a real life animation "Darth Vadar Attacks" which had students re-enacting scenes from Star Wars. This short film was shown to 450 delegates at the projects National Conference in Stratford on Avon last week.

Students from Churchfields School produced an excellent slide show featuring the League Cup which was on loan to the club at the time and students Oliver Tomkin Juniors produced some great web pages based on their time at the club.
The competition was organised by Gloucester Rugby Club Study Centre and AT Computers from Tewkesbury. The prizes donated by Apple UK were presented at a regional meeting hosted by Bristol Rovers, 1st prize was an Apple Powerbook and for coming second we won 2 video ipods, one of which we gave to Freshbrook Primary School.
