Young winger with pace to burn, Macklin was a surprise inclusion in Paul Sturrock's Austria tour party in July 2007.

Macklin has come up through the ranks at SN1 and was handed his first taste of first team action in the home pre-season friendly with Bristol City.

Also came off the bench in the closing stages of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy First Round tie against Brentford in September 2007.
