Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock completed his second signing of transfer deadline day on 31st August with the addition of Reading striker Simon Cox, who joined on loan until January 1st 2008.
The 20-year old signed a one-year professional deal at The Madejski Stadium in the summer and appeared for the Royals on Tuesday 28th August in the Carling Cup win at Swansea City.
Reading-born Cox joined his hometown club at the age of nine and progressed up through the academy ranks before making his senior debut against Luton Town in the Carling Cup in September 2005.
Cox spent time in League One last season, scoring three goals in six league starts for Northampton Town towards the end of the 2006/07 campaign.Season 2007 - 08
