Sheffield Wednesday striker Barry Corr joined Swindon Town in a permanent deal in the summer of 2007.

The Irishman made his debut for the Town reserves against Bristol City on the same day he put pen to paper on the loan deal and netted on what was his first appearance in a Swindon shirt.

Corr joined The Owls in April 2005 from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United after an initial trial spell with the Elland Road club.

The 21-year old arrives at Swindon in a deal which will see him remain at The County Ground until the end of the season and Town fans will be hoping Corr is the man to help secure promotion back into League One at the first attempt.

Corr is an industrious front man and with a 6'5 frame certainly offers a physical presence in the strike force. He has also gained youth honours for the Republic of Ireland during his time with Leeds and had a loan spell with Bristol City earlier this season.

He made a goalscoring debut, hitting the second goal at Lincoln City in March 2007 to earn Swindon a valuable win and battled through a back injury to help secure promotion back into League One with some talismatic displays.

After an operation in the summer of 2008 to cure a shoulder problem, the front man is now eager to get back into the first team fold. With five goals in seven starts in a Town shirt, Swindon fans will be hoping the striker can make a significant contribution this time around.
