Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas insists his squad are in for a tough week of training in Austria as the squad prepare for their first tour game against Steaua Bucharest this evening.

The Town management have adjusted the training plans following the news that two fixtures have been brought forward.

After a long journey from Wiltshire, the manager was glad to have arrived at the tour base and is looking forward to the days ahead.

"We have readjusted our training schedule because of the fixture changes.

"Today was going to be quite hard for the players but with the first game now taking place tonight, the training will be tempered slightly.

"There will be a little bit of functional play and then prepare for the game tonight. We will play two sets of forty-five minutes and see what we can get out of it.

"From tomorrow the training will be stepped up and become a lot harder. The game on Saturday night looks as though it will be the best one."

Kwasi Oduro linked up with the Town squad at Munich airport, with Maurice Malpas confirming the trialist is expected to feature in all three tour games.

"He joined us at their airport at Munich and it has been quite difficult for him. All I can say is that he will play in every game so we can get a good look at him.

"I need to speak to him and find out about his general fitness, but we will find out a lot more about him on and off the pitch as the days go on," finished the boss.
