MALPAS GIVES THE LOW DOWN
Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas has confirmed his interest in bringing Peterborough United winger Josh Low to the club, whilst also offering the latest news on other transfer targets.
Malpas has been in negotiations with several targets over permanent moves to The County Ground, in addition to the trialists being put through their paces at the training ground.
"We are still talking to Wolves with regards to Charlie Mulgrew," said the boss.
"We have put in a bid and Wolves have come back with what they are looking for. I don't think we are too far apart in terms of valuation, it is just how it is achieved.
"Once we have the go ahead from the club then hopefully we can speak to the player, which is the next hurdle we have to overcome. Although I have spoken to the agent in terms of ball park figures and haven't been blown out of the water.
"I am hopeful that we can come to some agreement to get Charlie Mulgrew here. We have a structure and won't break that but if it does go through then great. If not, then we will move on to other targets."

Another transfer target, released Manchester United winger Ritchie Jones, has also been in talks with Swindon over a move to The County Ground.
"With regards to Ritchie Jones it has come to the stage where I would like to get something done. He can play in several positions - central midfield or out wide.
"Negotiations were stuck for a while but we are moving again. A few other clubs in England have shown an interest and I believe there are clubs in Scotland looking at him too.
"I believe he is discussing a move with his family and hopefully he will choose Swindon Town. If he wants to join us then let's get him here. I would like to get an answer."

The manager also confirmed his interest in Peterborough United winger Josh Low
"I was keen for him to come here for six months so we could have a look at him.
"He has a family and would like something longer so we may have to assess what we could bring to the table. There are other clubs interested in him, too. He would give us something different in the wide areas and he is a different type of player to what we have here already.
"It has to be on our terms but most importantly I have to make sure it is the right thing to do for Swindon Town Football Club."
