Swindon Town fielded a mixture of youth and experience for Wednesday's pre-season friendly at Salisbury City.

First teamers Phil Smith, Jack Smith, Michael Pook and Blair Sturrock the game with the side Captained by Hasney Aljofree, who had recovered from a head injury sustained in Friday's friendly with Portsmouth.

Elsewhere Sean Morrison started the game at the heart of the defence with former Sheffield Wednesday and Blackpool man John Hills at left-back.

Young flier Lloyd Macklin was handed a chance to impress on the right hand side with Sam Morris also included in the midfield alongside Pook and Sturrock. Ben Joyce partnered Niall Ranger - formerly with Southampton striker - in the front line.

It was the Blue Square Premier side who took the lead though with former Stafford Rangers striker Djoumin Sangare heading home a fifth minute free-kick from the left.

The game continued to go against Swindon, with Jack Smith booked in the second half - a decision which had the Town management off the bench.

The Robins made two second half changes with Kurt Hammonds and Jake Hyde introduced in place of Sam Morris and Niall Ranger.

Town were two goals down on 84 minutes with Salisbury trialist Jamal Easter capitalising on some slack Town defensive work. Easter robbed centreback Sean Morrison of the ball before advancing and slotting the ball past Smith in the Town goal.
