ASHMAN PRAISES TOWN EFFORTS
Swindon Town Ladies FC Manager Neil Ashman paid tribute to his players after going out of the E.On-sponsored FA Women's Cup to Doncaster Rovers Belles LFC.
A crowd of around 500 saw the game at The County Ground and it was a valiant effort from the Town side, with Ashman delighted with the efforts of the team.
"All credit to the girls because they did really well. I couldn't fault any of our players and I am proud of them," he said.
"We didn't really settle until they were four goals down, but they put the effort in and did themselves no harm at all.
"The crowd made plenty of noise when we went forward and they supported us well.
"Doncaster used the ball well and they moved it quickly. They had some quick players too and they seemed used to that high tempo."

Ashman continued: "A few of our players were going down in the second half, and they were some of our fittest players. That just shows you how much extra running the girls had to do out there.
"The players couldn't believe how quick the game was and it came as a bit of a shock to them, but they have learnt a lot and hopefully they can all take something from it.
"There are players in are squad who could play higher and it was a positive performance."
