Swindon Town Ladies moved into third place in the South West Combination League after being held to a one all draw with AFC Bournemouth.

The Town had a disappointing start falling behind after sixteen minutes. The Town were not playing well and were creating few chances. The Town started the second half better and deserved to draw level in the 68^th minute. Claire Moreton latched onto Michelle Rich's cross to tuck the ball just inside the far post. Although the Town had a better second half they were unable to get that vital second goal and had to be content with a share of the points. The Town have had difficultly in dealing with lower and mid table teams on their travels and this has cost them valuable points.

The Town Reserves were disappointed to lose by three goals to nil to near neighbours Cirencester Town in a South Regional League game played at Aldbourne.

The Reserves played a friendly against Gloucestershire League side Tetbury Town and won by six goals to one despite the terrible weather conditions. Kirsty Jones scored twice and there were goals for Sarah Moore, Cat Fisher, Kelly Oakes and Jemma Brittin.

The Under Sixteen side, playing in the semi final of the Wiltshire League Cup, lost to Swindon Spitfires by a goal to nil.

The Under Fourteen side visited highflying Bristol Academy in the Bristol Girls League and won by five goals to three. Abby Picton and Nicola Coe both scored two and Libby Gale got the other one.

Under Twelve "Nosbees" lost by three goals to nil in the quarter final of the Wiltshire County League Cup to Bradford on Avon.

Tomorrow the Town travel to Devon to face Plymouth Argyle in a South West Combination League game. The two sides have not met so far this season and the Pilgrims are in fifth place, three points behind third placed Town but with three games in hand.

The Town Reserves are without a South West Regional League fixture.
