Bouncing Back
Charlie Comyn-Platt is hoping Town can bounce back to League One at the first attempt, after an eventful first season for the youngster.
The versatile Northerner made his debut for Town during the Carling Cup defeat to Wycombe Wanderers at the end of August and went on to make 13 starts for the club.
Some fans probably didn't know much about you as a player as a result of your age before the season started, so tell us a bit about your career at Bolton?
I was with Bolton since I was 12. I got spotted playing for school and signed on as a YTS. Talking about opinion. I wasn't even selected for the FA Youth Cup team at 17 and then Sam then gave me my first team debut in the League Cup at Tranmere.
You went on loan to Wycombe - how was that?
It was a good club, but a long way away for an 18-year old to travel. I found it hard work, I was on my own in a Bed and Breakfast - it was definitely an eye-opener.

It must have been hard to leave the club in the summer - how did it all come about, and how much of an influence has Big Sam been on your early career?
Sam was keen with me to play at Wycombe because at the time I was playing in the centre of defence. Tony Adams was manager then and so he wanted me to learn from someone who had obviously achieved a lot in that position. Then, at the end of the season I was told I was being released, which was hard because at that time of year clubs have already signed their players - there weren't many clubs to choose from. Sam obviously knew Andy King quite well so that's how the move here came about.
You joined, of course, with Ricky Shakes, did that help you settle?
Yeah, it definitely helped me make my mind up. I now rent with him and it's good fun - he's a great cook! He likes his chicken, which is good because the only thing I've contributed so far is a chicken burger! But Nicho's five doors down as well, and he cooked me my Christmas dinner - that was nice.

What does the future hold for you?
Well we have to look to bounce straight back up next season. I want to do well here and help Swindon win things in the longer term.
You took charge of one of the fans' teams for the game on Wednesday, how was that?
It was a great experience and all the players were really enjoying themselves. They were all Town supporters so it was great to be able to chat with them. I'd definitely do it again...
