On Sunday 7th October we entertained Bristol Rovers, with the Under 9's, 10's, 14's and 15's making the short trip to Bristol, with the 11's, 12's and 13's in action at Wanborough. The younger ones played very well with good passing and working for each other which was pleasing for the coaches the 11's, 12's and 13's are coping well considering a lot of the players now in these age groups are playing up, so this will enhance there development and should be beneficial to there knowledge of the game. The 14's and 15's had good games with Rovers with a 1-1 draw and a 3-1 defeat.

On Saturday 13th October the U16's played Plymouth and drew 1-1. This result was pleasing as we included a lot of the U15's in the side and they performed well. On Sunday the Under 9's, 10's, 14's and 15's made the longest trip of the season to Plymouth Argyle. The Under 11's and 12's were in action at home. The younger ones played lots of individual games in a 4v4 format and this enabled them to play 60 minutes of football. The Under 14's won 4-3, while the 15's lost 3-1. The 11's lost 6-3 and the 12's lost 4-0 with the 13's losing out by the same margin.

This week we play AFC Bournemouth and as it's half-term, the Centre of Excellence will take a week's break. However, this time will be used effectively with the Under 16's up at the training ground with David and myself to experience full-time training.

On the following Sunday we play Reading which will be another test to see how far we have come in playing against an Academy side.
